COLD EMAIL AGENT · FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS · BILLING DOMAINS

Who owns my purchased domains after I cancel, and what happens to warmup billing?

Purchased domains are managed for your workspace, and warmup billing keeps running until you cancel the domain.

Domains and inboxes you buy through the platform are managed — we register the domain and run the inboxes on our sending infrastructure on your workspace's behalf. That's what makes the setup hands-off: DNS, authentication records, and warmup are all handled for you. It also means the arrangement works differently from buying a domain at a regular registrar.

Who owns the domain?

While your subscription is active, the domain is yours to use — it sends from your workspace, forwards where you point it, and nobody else can buy it.

But it's held on our sending infrastructure, not in a registrar account under your name:

  • You don't get a registrar login for the domain.
  • There's no dashboard option to transfer a managed domain out to your own registrar.
  • When you cancel the domain, it's deleted from the email provider — it isn't handed over to you.

If you have a specific need around domain-level ownership (for example, you want to keep using a domain name after leaving), contact support before cancelling anything. Once a managed domain is cancelled, the deletion can't be undone.

What happens when a campaign ends?

Nothing changes on the billing side. Campaigns are an operational layer — finishing or pausing a campaign doesn't touch your domain or inbox subscriptions:

  • Your domains stay registered (billed yearly).
  • Your inboxes stay active (billed monthly, renewing around the 15th).
  • Warmup keeps running on every inbox.

This is deliberate: warmup is what keeps an inbox's sending reputation healthy, so an inbox that keeps warming between campaigns is ready to send the day you launch the next one. But it also means charges continue after your campaigns end until you cancel the domains and inboxes themselves.

See pausing a campaign vs pausing my subscription for the full breakdown.

Is warmup billed separately?

No. Warmup is included in the monthly inbox subscription — there's no separate "warmup charge" on your bill. If you're seeing recurring charges after your campaigns ended, those are the domain (yearly) and inbox (monthly) subscriptions still renewing, and warmup running is the visible sign that they're still active.

How to stop the charges

Cancel the managed domains and their inboxes from your workspace billing page:

  1. Open Settings → Billing.
  2. Scroll to Email Accounts & Domains.
  3. Use Cancel next to a specific domain, or Cancel all to cancel every domain at once.

Cancelling deletes the domain — it doesn't release it to you

Cancelling a managed domain permanently deletes the domain and all of its inboxes from the email provider. Any campaigns using those inboxes stop sending immediately, and the action can't be undone. Domain and inbox purchases are not refundable, so cancelling partway through a paid period doesn't return the remainder.

Also remember that domain/inbox subscriptions bill separately from your workspace plan — cancelling one doesn't cancel the other. See how do I cancel my Acquisity workspace and stop all billing for the full cancellation order.
