Previewing And Versions
Review your website, switch device views, compare versions, and download code.
The preview area shows the website the AI generated. Use it to review the site before publishing.
Preview Mode And Code Mode
There are two main views:
| Mode | Use it for |
|---|---|
| Preview | Reading, clicking, checking layout, and reviewing the site like a visitor. |
| Code | Advanced file inspection and manual edits. Most users do not need this. |
Check Desktop, Tablet, And Phone
Use the device controls in the preview toolbar to switch between desktop, tablet, and phone.
Check phone view before publishing. Most visitors will not forgive a beautiful desktop page that turns into a wobbly little sandwich on mobile.
Look for:
- Headlines that wrap badly
- Buttons that are hard to tap
- Cards that feel too cramped
- Sections with too much empty space
- Important CTAs pushed too far down the page
Open The Preview In A New Tab
Use the open-in-new-tab control when you want to review the site full screen. This is useful for checking long pages, links, and mobile layouts.
Reload The Preview
If the preview looks stale or stuck, use the reload control. If it still does not update, check whether the AI is still generating or whether the build failed.
Versions
Each successful AI build creates a version. Versions let you compare earlier outputs and choose which one you want to publish or download.
Use the version dropdown to:
- See previous generated outputs
- Check which version is live
- Select a version before publishing
- Download code from the selected version
You may see labels such as:
| Label | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Building | The website is still being created or updated. |
| Failed | The website could not build correctly. Try Fix with AI or ask for a repair in chat. |
| Deploying | The selected version is being published. |
| Live | This version is currently live. |
Download Code
Open the actions menu in the preview toolbar and choose Download Code. The selected version downloads as a zip file.
Most users do not need this, but it is useful if a developer or support person needs to inspect the generated files.
