Domains
Use a public site URL, connect a domain you own, or buy and assign a domain.
Domains are the addresses people use to visit your website.
AI Website Builder gives you a few ways to use them:

Connecting A Domain You Own
If you already own a domain, use the dedicated guide:
Buying A Domain
To buy a domain in the platform:
- Open the Domains tab: Go to AI Website Builder and open Domains.
- Search for a domain: Type at least two characters. Try a few variations if your first idea is taken.
- Pick an available domain: Choose the domain you want.
- Enter owner details: Domain registrars need owner details for registration. Fill these in carefully.
- Choose renewal settings: If auto-renew is available, decide whether the domain should renew automatically.
- Continue to checkout: Complete checkout, then return to the Domains tab.
Assign A Domain To A Website
After buying a domain in the platform, assign it to a website:
- Open Domains.
- Choose the domain.
- Assign it to the website you want.
- Wait while the platform configures it.
- Open the website and confirm the domain is connected.
One domain can be assigned to one website at a time.
Reassign Or Unassign A Domain
Use the domain management modal to:
- See which website a domain is assigned to
- Move a domain to a different website
- Unassign a domain
- Check renewal settings
If a domain is already assigned to another website, unassign or reassign it before using it somewhere else.
Why Domain Setup Can Take Time
Domains use DNS, and DNS takes time to update. Platform-bought domains may connect automatically, but external domains depend on the records at the current DNS provider.
If a domain is still pending, wait a little, refresh the status, then check the custom-domain troubleshooting steps.
