Cold Email Blocklist
Block email addresses or domains from future cold email outreach.
The Cold Email Blocklist is where you stop specific people or companies from receiving future campaign emails.
Reach it from Settings → Cold Email Blocklist.
What the blocklist does
| Entry type | What happens |
|---|---|
| Email address | Blocks that exact email address from future outreach. |
| Domain | Blocks every email address that uses that domain. For example, blocking example.com blocks alex@example.com, sales@example.com, and any other address on that domain. |
When a lead is on the blocklist, future lead imports or lead searches can skip that address. In campaign lead tables, skipped leads may show as in blocklist.
Use domain blocking carefully. A domain block is broad and can exclude every person at that company from future outreach.
Page controls
The page includes:
| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
| Search emails or domains... | Searches the current blocklist. |
| Download CSV | Exports the blocklist to CSV. |
| Import CSV | Uploads a CSV of emails or domains to block. |
| Add | Opens manual entry for one or more emails/domains. |
| Email / Domain | Table column showing the blocked email or domain. |
| Block Date | Table column showing when the entry was added. |
If the list is empty, the table shows No blocked emails or domains found.
Add entries manually
Open the blocklist
Go to Settings → Cold Email Blocklist.
Click "Add"
This opens Add Entries Manually.
Paste emails or domains
Use Type or paste emails and domains (one per line).
Examples:
john@example.com
jane@example.com
competitor.comEmails are detected by the @ symbol. Anything else is treated as a domain.
Add a reason
Use Reason to record why the entries are being added. The default reason is Manually added to blocklist.
Preview and import
Click Preview, review the Review Import screen, then click Import.
Import a CSV
Click Import CSV to upload a list. Use Get template if you want the built-in CSV template. The template uses:
Email/Domain
john@example.com
jane@example.com
competitor.comThe preview shows valid and invalid entries before import. Invalid entries are not imported.
You can import up to 1,000 valid entries at a time. Public email provider domains, such as Gmail-style consumer domains, cannot be blocked as domains.
Remove entries
To remove a blocked email or domain:
- Check the checkbox next to the entry.
- Click Bulk Actions at the bottom of the table.
- Click Remove from blocklist.
- Confirm Remove from Blocklist.
Removing an entry allows future outreach to that address or domain again, unless another matching block still applies. For example, removing alex@example.com does not help if example.com is still blocked as a domain.
Blocklist vs Do Not Contact
You may see both Cold Email Blocklist and DNC / Do Not Contact wording in the app.
- Cold Email Blocklist is the settings page for managing blocked emails and domains in bulk.
- Add to DNC in AI SDR Inbox blocks a specific email from future outreach when someone asks not to be contacted.
- CRM contacts can also be marked Do Not Contact.
The practical outcome is the same: future outreach to that email is blocked. Use the blocklist page when you need to search, import, export, or remove entries in bulk.
