Do I need to personally answer/join booked calls, and what routing is required?

Yes, when the AI SDR books a call, you (or your team) need to join the meeting. The AI SDR handles the email conversation and booking, but the actual call is between you and the prospect.

What happens when a call is booked

1. The AI SDR sends available time slots to the prospect
2. When the prospect picks a time, a calendar event is created on the assigned call handler's connected Google or Outlook calendar
3. The prospect receives a calendar invite with the meeting link (Zoom or static link)
4. You receive a calendar notification/reminder
5. Join the call at the scheduled time using the meeting link

Call routing and assignment

To control who receives booked calls:

1. Go to Settings → AI SDR Agent in the left sidebar
2. In the Call Assignment section, you'll see the Assigned Call Handler dropdown
3. Choose a specific team member, or leave it on Automatic assignment (role-based priority)

Important: Only team members who have completed their setup (connected Google or Outlook calendar and meeting link) appear in the dropdown. If someone is missing, they need to:

1. Log into their account
2. Click AI SDR Inbox in the left menu
3. Complete the setup modal by connecting their calendar and meeting link

Multiple team members

If you have multiple people who could take calls:

• Each person must connect their own Google or Outlook calendar and meeting link from their account
• The workspace owner/admin then picks who gets calls from the Call Assignment dropdown
• To change assignment later, just pick a different person from the dropdown and click Save Settings

There's no automatic round-robin or load balancing - calls go to whoever is selected in the Call Assignment setting.
