What are the steps to launch my first campaign?
Steps to launch my first campaign.
Once onboarding is done, here's what actually gets you from zero to your first sent email. Plan for about 30–90 minutes of active work, plus some waiting for domains/inboxes to provision.
Step 1 — Finish onboarding (if you haven't)
Onboarding saves your website, business type, sales method, and main bottleneck, then activates the workspace. It does not create a niche report, offer, campaign, or email sequence. Complete those pieces in their own tools as needed before launching.
Step 2 — Buy domains and inboxes
Campaigns need sending infrastructure before they can send.
- Open Cold Email Agent in the sidebar → Email Accounts.
- Buy one or more domains + inboxes. Pre-warmed inboxes are ready to send sooner.
- Wait 15–30 minutes for provisioning. The account shows "Pending" while that happens.
You can move on to Step 3 while domains provision — no need to wait.
Step 3 — Create a campaign
- Go to Cold Email Agent → New Campaign.
- Name it (usually the niche or offer name).
Step 4 — Pick a lead source
Two options:
| Option | Cost | Time | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Acquisity Lead Database | Uses credits | 5–15 min | You need the platform to source leads for you |
| Upload Your Own | Free | Instant | You already have a CSV list |
Heads up — credits get consumed immediately
Acquisity Lead Database charges credits when you confirm the lead search, before the campaign sends anything. The live dialog defaults to the minimum import of 500 leads. CSV upload does not use credits. If you accidentally confirm a paid lead search and do not want to use those leads, contact support. See Why did credits get consumed before I was ready? for more.
Step 5 — Build the email sequence
- Pick AI Generated to have the AI draft the emails for you based on your targeting and method — or Create your own to write them yourself.
- If you choose AI Generated, pick Podcast, Interview, AI Business Audit, or Direct.
- Wait for the Writing Your Email Sequence progress screen to finish.
- Review the generated emails before sending. In the current AI-generated flow, this review usually happens on the campaign's Sequences tab after the Draft is created.
Step 6 — Launch
- Select the active inboxes that should send this campaign.
- Click Create Campaign.
- Wait for the Launching Your Campaign progress screen to finish.
- If auto-launch is off, the campaign opens as a Draft. Check Leads, Sequences, and Options, then click Launch campaign when you're ready.
- Once the campaign is Active, emails start sending during the configured sending hours, subject to the platform-enforced daily limit per inbox.
Step 7 — Monitor
- Dashboard → watch Contacted Leads, Positive Replies, Booked Calls, and Cash Collected populate as activity is recorded
- AI SDR Inbox → replies land here; the AI classifies them automatically
- Campaign → Analytics → per-campaign deliverability, open rate, reply rate
Give the first campaign at least 7–14 days before judging performance. Many replies come from follow-ups, not the first email.
