The "leads were skipped during upload" notification appears when the system excludes some leads from your CSV upload. You cannot manually dismiss it from the card itself; it clears when you navigate away or refresh the campaign view.
Why Leads Get Skipped
The system skips leads for these reasons:
| Reason | What it means |
|---|---|
| Already in other campaigns | These leads are already assigned to another campaign in the workspace. The system prevents the same person from getting emails from multiple campaigns at once. |
| Duplicates | The same email address appears multiple times in your CSV file. |
| In blocklist | These email addresses are on your organization's blocklist. |
| Invalid emails | Email addresses that don't follow valid email format (like missing @ symbol). |
| Incomplete | Rows missing required fields like email address. |
What You See
After importing a CSV file, if any leads were skipped, you'll see a warning card at the top of the Leads tab:
- Shows the total number of skipped leads
- Lists the specific reasons in parentheses
- Example: "25 leads were skipped during upload (15 already in other campaigns, 10 duplicates)."
How to Handle It
- Review the numbers - Check how many leads were skipped versus how many were successfully imported.
- Navigate away or refresh - The notification clears when you leave the campaign view or refresh later.
- Clean your CSV - To prevent skips in future uploads:
- Remove duplicate email addresses before uploading
- Validate email formats
- Check if leads exist in other active campaigns first
