How do I turn off the AI SDR auto-replies?

Steps to turn off the AI SDR auto-replies.

The AI SDR has a workspace-wide on/off switch called Auto Agent Run. When it's off, no replies go out automatically — every inbound email waits in the inbox for a human to reply.

Turn it off

  1. Open SettingsAI SDR Agent (or click Settings from the AI SDR Inbox header).
  2. The first card on the page is AI SDR Enabled.
  3. Toggle Auto Agent Run off.

Auto-replies stop immediately. In-flight threads stay exactly where they are; new incoming emails land in the inbox untouched.

What happens to existing threads

Per-thread vs per-workspace

You can turn AI SDR off at three levels:

  • Whole workspace off — use the AI SDR Settings toggle described above.
  • Specific campaign off — click Configure AI SDR for Specific Campaigns on the same settings page and turn off the active campaign.
  • Just this thread — open the thread and check Disable AI SDR. You can also reply manually; the AI treats your reply as human takeover. Re-enable AI on that thread using the re-enable after human takeover FAQ if you want it back.
  • Temporary break while away — same workspace toggle. Turn it back on when you return.

Off means really off

When the AI SDR is off, nothing replies automatically — including follow-ups to leads who've shown interest. Warm threads can go cold in 2–3 days. If you're switching it off for more than a few days, tell your in-flight interested leads by sending a quick manual reply that sets expectations.
