How do I configure the AI SDR to only reply during business hours (Mon–Fri)?

Steps to configure the AI SDR to only reply during business hours (Mon–Fri).

Acquisity has a built-in schedule control at Settings → Availability. The AI SDR uses it as the outer window for meeting times it can offer to prospects. Combined with your connected calendar's free/busy and meeting buffers, this is how you restrict booked calls to Mon-Fri business hours and prevent back-to-back bookings.

There is not a separate visible setting for "only send AI SDR email replies during business hours." If you need a hard pause outside office hours, use Settings → AI SDR Agent → Auto Agent Run to turn reply automation off and back on manually.

Step 1: Set your work hours and buffers in Acquisity

  1. Click Settings in the left sidebar.
  2. Click Availability (under the Profile group).
  3. The schedule card shows each day of the week. Toggle off Saturday and Sunday.
  4. For Mon-Fri, set the hours you want to be bookable (e.g. 09:00-17:00).
  5. Confirm the timezone at the top matches where you actually work.
  6. In Buffer Times, choose any before-meeting or after-meeting buffer you want.
  7. Save.

Step 2: Connect your calendar

  1. Click SettingsEmail & Calendar.
  2. Click Connect on either Google Account (Email/Calendar) or Outlook Account (Email/Calendar).
  3. Sign in with the calendar you want booked against.
  4. Grant calendar access.

Once connected, the AI SDR narrows its booking offers to slots that are inside your availability window, free on your calendar, and not blocked by your buffers.

Step 3: Make sure the AI SDR is actually on

  1. Open SettingsAI SDR Agent.
  2. In the AI SDR Enabled card, confirm Auto Agent Run is toggled on.

If Auto Agent Run is off, no automatic AI SDR replies go out regardless of the time.

What the availability setting controls

SituationWhat the AI SDR does
Prospect asks for times during your working windowAI can propose available slots inside that window.
Prospect replies on SaturdayAI may still process the reply; availability mainly controls meeting slots, not a guaranteed reply-send window.
Prospect asks for a call at 7pm your local timeAI politely declines that slot and proposes in-window alternatives.
Your calendar is fully booked that dayAI only proposes slots you're actually free for.
You set a 15-minute buffer after meetingsAI avoids offering slots that start immediately after another meeting.

If you have team members handling different campaigns

Availability is per-user. Each team member sets their own hours in Settings → Availability. The AI SDR uses the hours of the calendar user selected for that booking: the campaign's Assigned Salesperson first, then the workspace Assigned Call Handler, then automatic assignment if neither is set.
