How do I load my CRM contacts into a cold email campaign?
Export the People list from CRM as CSV, then upload that CSV when creating a new Cold Email Agent campaign.
Two steps: export from CRM, upload to Cold Email Agent. There's no direct "send these CRM contacts to a campaign" button today — you go through a CSV in the middle.
Step 1 — Export from the CRM
- Open CRM → People.
- Filter or search to get the list you want (skip if you want everyone).
- Click the Export button (download icon, top-right of the table).
- A CSV downloads. Default filename is the current date.
The export includes name, all emails, all phones, tags, linked companies, linked deals, LinkedIn / Twitter / Facebook / Instagram, address, and timestamps. You usually won't need to edit the CSV before uploading.
Step 2 — Upload to a new campaign
- Open Cold Email Agent → New Campaign.
- Pick the lead source option Upload Your Own.
- Upload the CSV you exported.
- The Cold Email Agent maps the standard columns automatically — double-check the email column is detected.
- Complete the rest of the campaign setup. Create the campaign, then launch it only when you are ready to start sending.
Workspace-wide dedupe runs automatically: if any contact is already in another campaign in this workspace, they're skipped from the upload. You'll see a "leads skipped" summary after upload.
If you want to add a single CRM contact to a campaign
CSV export is overkill for one contact. Options:
- Manual add to the campaign — open the campaign → Leads → Add Leads and paste their details directly.
- Wait for replies — if the contact replies to an existing campaign, the CRM and the Cold Email Agent already share the thread.
Don't re-email people who've replied
If the contact has a booked meeting, a closed deal, or a DNC flag, don't include them in a new campaign. The dedupe check catches DNC contacts automatically, but a contact with an active deal isn't blocked — that's on you to exclude.
