Deals and Pipelines
Track opportunities through your sales process
Deals are sales opportunities. A pipeline is the set of stages a deal moves through (like "Lead", "Proposal", "Closed Won"). This page explains how to set up pipelines, create deals, and track them.
Opening Deals
-
Click CRM in the left menu.
-
Click Deals in the CRM navigation.
-
You see a kanban board with your deals shown as cards in stage columns.
Creating a Pipeline
Before you can add deals, you need at least one pipeline. A pipeline is the list of stages a deal moves through.
-
Click Deals in the CRM navigation.
-
Click the three-dot menu near Export, Import Deals, and Add Deal.
-
Click Add Pipeline.
-
The Create Pipeline dialog opens.
Picking a Template
When creating a pipeline, you can start from a template or build your own.
- Pick a template from the Pipeline Template dropdown to get pre-made stages.
- Or choose Custom Pipeline to start from scratch.
Setting Up Stages
Each pipeline needs stages. Every pipeline must have at least one stage marked as "Won" and one marked as "Lost."
For each stage, fill in:
| Field | What It Is |
|---|---|
| Stage Name | What this step is called (like "Discovery Call") |
| Probability | How likely a deal in this stage is to close (0-100%) |
| Won checkbox | Check this for your "won" stages (like "Closed Won") |
| Lost checkbox | Check this for your "lost" stages (like "Closed Lost") |
- Drag the grip handle on the left of any stage to reorder.
- Click Add Stage to add more.
- Click the trash icon to remove a stage (you cannot remove the last Won or Lost stage).
- Click Create Pipeline.
Multiple Pipelines
You can create as many pipelines as you need. For example:
| Pipeline | Use Case |
|---|---|
| Direct Cold Email Funnel | Leads from cold outreach |
| Inbound | Leads from your website or referrals |
| Partnership | Co-selling with partners |
Switch between pipelines using the dropdown at the top of the Deals page.
Creating a Deal
-
Click the Add Deal button at the top right (or the + icon in any stage column).
-
The Create Deal dialog opens.
-
Fill in the deal details:
| Field | Required | What It Is |
|---|---|---|
| Deal Name | Yes | A short label for this opportunity |
| Amount | No | The dollar value of the deal |
| Currency | No | USD, EUR, GBP, CAD, or AUD |
| Win Probability | No | Your estimate of how likely this deal closes (0-100%) |
| Pipeline | Yes | Which pipeline this deal belongs to |
| Stage | Yes | The current step in the pipeline |
| Source | No | Where this lead came from (website, referral, cold call) |
| Owner | No | The team member responsible for this deal |
| Contacts | No | One or more people linked to this deal |
| Companies | No | One or more companies linked to this deal |
- Click Create Deal.
Smart Suggestions
When you pick contacts, the system suggests companies those contacts belong to (and the other way around). Look for the star icon next to suggested items.
Automatic Deal Creation
When a lead replies with interest or books a meeting through the Cold Email Agent or AI SDR, the CRM can create or update a deal and link the person to it.
The system uses the campaign and CRM context available at the time to choose the pipeline and stage. Treat the automatically created deal as a starting point, then review it and move it through your pipeline as the opportunity progresses.
