How do I make the sender name on emails be my name and not the default?
Edit First and Last Name on the sending inbox, not in the sequence. The variable pulls from the inbox.
The sender name that appears on your campaign emails is controlled by the inbox display name, not by the sequence. The sequence variable {{sendingAccountName}} automatically pulls whatever name is on the inbox.
To change the name on outgoing emails
- Go to Cold Email Agent → Email Accounts.
- Click the row of the inbox your campaign sends from.
- In the settings panel that opens on the right, edit the First Name and Last Name fields to your name.
- Click Save.
All future emails from that inbox will use the new name. Emails already sent don't update retroactively.
If you manage multiple inboxes
You'll need to repeat this for each inbox. Every inbox has its own display name, and the campaign sends from whichever inbox it's attached to.
If you're running a campaign for a client
Set the First/Last Name to the client's name (or the relevant person on their team), not yours. The prospect sees whoever's name is on the inbox.
Why {{sendingAccountName}} works this way
It's a "system-filled" variable — you can't type a value into it in the sequence. It always pulls from the inbox, so if you run the same sequence from five different inboxes, each prospect sees the name of whoever owns the inbox that sent their specific email.
Can I use a different name for different leads?
Not with this mechanism. If you need true lead-by-lead control over the sender name, you'd need to run separate campaigns with different inboxes. {{sendingAccountName}} is inbox-level, not lead-level.
