My scrape is still running — what happens if I close the tab?

Nothing bad. Scrapes run in the background. Close the tab, come back later, the scrape keeps going.

You can close the tab. You can close the browser. You can go to lunch. Your scrape keeps running.

Lead scrapes (and other long-running jobs like campaign creation and big CSV imports) run as background jobs, not inside your browser tab. When you come back, the same progress card will be waiting — either still running, completed, or failed.

How to check on a running scrape

  • Come back to the campaign's Leads tab — the "Scrape in progress" card will still be there. It refreshes every 5 seconds.
  • If you closed the whole campaign — open the campaign from the Campaigns list. The Leads tab shows the progress card.

How long should I wait?

  • A few minutes is typical for most scrapes.
  • Up to 30 minutes is not a problem — very specific filters take longer.
  • More than 30 minutes — something's probably wrong. The card will usually show "Scrape failed" by then with an error message. If it's still showing "in progress" after an hour, contact support with the campaign name.

If something failed while I was away

The card on the Leads tab switches to "Scrape failed" and shows the error. Common causes:

  • Ran out of credits mid-scrape — top up and retry.
  • Upstream provider issue — wait a few minutes, retry.
  • Invalid filter combination — adjust filters, retry.
