Why did my campaign stall at 200 emails?
Campaign stalls usually mean a pause, capacity issue, sending window, or inbox problem. Here's how to check.
This checklist assumes Acquisity manages your sending inboxes. If your workspace is connected to your own Instantly.ai account, see Why is my campaign Active but not sending when I use my own Instantly account? instead.
A campaign that sends a few hundred emails then abruptly stops — with no error message, no obvious red flag — is almost always one of these:
1. You hit workspace contact capacity
Acquisity does not use a monthly upload quota for CSV leads. It does have workspace contact capacity: a cap on how many leads the workspace can hold at once. If the workspace is full, you may not be able to add the next batch of leads even though the campaign itself still exists.
How to check: go to Settings → Cold Email Agent and look for Workspace Contact Capacity.
Fix: delete old leads you no longer need, usually from completed campaigns, or contact support if you are blocked and cannot safely clear space.
2. The campaign is Paused
Could be:
- You paused it (or a team member did).
- Bounce protection paused it because too many emails bounced. See bounce protection.
- AI campaign management paused it while starting an enabled replacement campaign. The agent does not pause a campaign by itself.
How to check: open the campaign. Status at the top shows Paused if any of these are true.
Fix: review why it paused (bounce protection or Attention Needed banner will say), fix the cause, resume the campaign.
3. Status is "Attention Needed"
If the status badge shows Attention Needed, the system wants you to look at something before continuing. There's usually a banner explaining what.
Common triggers: high bounce rate, domain authentication failure, inbox in Error state.
Fix: open the campaign, read the banner, fix the underlying issue, resume.
4. You're outside configured sending hours
The campaign isn't stalled — it's waiting for its sending window.
How to check: go to the campaign's Options tab. Look at the sending schedule. If your campaign is set to Monday–Friday 9am–5pm and you're looking at it on a Saturday evening, sending will resume Monday morning.
5. All sending inboxes are paused or errored
If the inboxes the campaign uses all went to Error or Paused status, there's nowhere to send from.
How to check: go to Email Accounts. Any Error (red) badges? Any inboxes paused?
Fix: reconnect errored inboxes, unpause paused ones. See Health & troubleshooting.
