Buying inboxes
Two options for buying sending inboxes through the platform — pre-warmed (ready to send) or Done-For-You (choose an available domain, 2 weeks of warmup first). Costs, steps, and what to expect.
The fastest way to get inboxes for cold email is to buy them through the platform. You don't have to manage domains, set up DNS records, or run warmup yourself — all of that is included. This page explains the two supported buying options and walks through the checkout flow for each.
You may also see a Connect Existing Accounts card in the product, with Google, Microsoft, and IMAP / SMTP provider options. That card is disabled as Coming Soon, so don't plan a campaign around connecting an existing inbox there yet.
Reach the buying flow via Cold Email Agent → Email Accounts → Add New Inboxes.
Pre-warmed vs Done-For-You — which to pick
| Pre-Warmed Inboxes | Done-For-You (DFY) | |
|---|---|---|
| Ready to send? | Yes, day one | After ~2 weeks of warmup |
| Who picks the domain name? | The platform (from an available pool) | You choose an available domain during setup |
| Inboxes per domain | 3 | Exactly 3 (required) |
| Domain cost | Shown at checkout | Varies by domain name |
| Inbox cost | Shown at checkout | Shown at checkout |
| Email authentication (SPF / DKIM / DMARC) | Automatic | Automatic |
| Best for | Anyone who wants to launch this week. Most teams. | Agencies or brands who want a specific domain name tied to the business. |
Rule of thumb: pick pre-warmed if you're new or want to launch fast. Pick DFY if you need a branded outreach domain like yourcompany-outreach.com and have 2 weeks to wait before sending.
Buying pre-warmed inboxes (the fast path)
Open the buying flow
Click Add New Inboxes in the top-right of the Email Accounts page. On the Add inboxes to your workspace screen, use the Pre-warmed Inboxes card. It shows Google Gmail / G-Suite as the provider and a Continue button when inventory is available.
Pick your domains
You'll see a list of available domain names as clickable pills. Click one to select it (turns green with a checkmark). Click it again to deselect.
- Use Search from pre-warmed accounts at the top to filter the list.
- Click Load more at the bottom to see more options.
- A Selected Domains section at the bottom shows everything you've picked — each shows the domain name, a note that 3 inboxes come with it, and an X button if you change your mind.
Pricing updates as you select domains and inboxes. Review the exact yearly domain total and monthly inbox total before continuing.
When you're happy, click Next.
(Optional but recommended) Set up domain forwarding
On the checkout page, a Forwarding Domain field appears at the top.
Why this matters: your outreach emails come from a new domain your prospects have never heard of. If someone gets an email from james@acme-outreach.com and types that into a browser to check if you're real, you want them to land on your actual company site — not a blank page. Forwarding makes that happen.
Type your main site (e.g. yourbusiness.com) into the field. You can always add or change forwarding later from the Email Accounts page.
If you leave Forwarding Domain empty, Place Order opens Confirm Domain Forwarding. Click Cancel if you want to go back and add forwarding, or Continue Without Forwarding if you're intentionally ordering without it.
Review the order
Before you pay, you'll see a table listing every inbox you're buying:
| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Provider | Google icon — pre-warmed inboxes all use Google infrastructure. |
| Persona | The first and last name assigned to this inbox (shown with a profile picture). |
| The full email address. | |
| Domain | Which domain this inbox belongs to. |
| Price | The current monthly price for that inbox. |
Totals below the table:
- Inbox subtotal — monthly cost.
- Domain subtotal — yearly cost.
- Recurring total — both combined, shown as "$X/mo + $Y/yr".
Billing notes:
- Subscriptions renew on the 15th of each month.
- Inbox purchases are not refundable.
If you have a promo code, there's a field to enter it — click Apply and you'll see the discount.
Reservation timer
A countdown timer runs while you're at checkout. If it runs out, the domains go back into the pool and someone else can buy them. Finish checkout before it expires.
Place the order
Click Place Order. A provisioning banner appears on the Email Accounts page:
- "Processing domains..." — the payment is being processed.
- "Provisioning domains (X/Y)..." — we're setting up your inboxes.
- "Provisioning complete!" — your inboxes appear in the table, ready to use.
- "Provisioning requires attention" — some domains provisioned but others are taking longer than expected. See Partial provisioning below.
You can leave this page — provisioning continues in the background. It usually takes a few minutes.
Buying Done-For-You inboxes (you choose an available domain)
DFY inboxes need 2 weeks of warmup before they can send campaigns
When DFY inboxes arrive in your Email Accounts table, the flame icon next to them will be orange, not green. Do not attach them to real campaigns while the flame is orange. Gmail and Outlook punish new inboxes that start sending at scale before they've built a sending history. The flame turns green when warmup is complete (about 2 weeks).
Open the DFY buying flow
Click Add New Inboxes → Continue on the Done-For-You Setup card.
Search for a domain name
A search box at the top prompts you with "Type your domain name to start." Type something close to your brand (e.g. acmegrowth).
Below the search, checkboxes let you filter by domain ending: .com, .net, .org (all ticked by default).
Available domains appear as clickable pills, each showing the registration and renewal cost, like "Register $12 · Renew $12" (prices vary by name). Click to select. Domains that are already taken show a red "taken" badge and can't be chosen.
If you haven't searched yet, the page shows suggested domains to get you started.
Click Next when you've picked your domains.
Configure the 3 inboxes per domain
You must create exactly 3 inboxes for each domain you bought. For each:
- Sender name — the first and last name that will appear on outgoing emails.
- Email — type a username, then pick which domain from the dropdown (e.g.
john@acmegrowth.com). - Quick options — after you type a name, the system suggests common patterns like
john@,john.smith@,j.smith@. Click one to auto-fill. - Click Add to add each inbox.
A counter shows your progress: "2/3 inboxes for acmegrowth.com."
You can't proceed until every domain has exactly 3 inboxes. An incomplete domain shows a red message like "Must add 3 inboxes for acmegrowth.com."
Optionally, set a Forwarding Domain at the top (same concept as pre-warmed — see step 3 above). If you leave it empty, Place Order opens Confirm Domain Forwarding before checkout continues.
Place the order
Click Place Order. Your inboxes appear in the Email Accounts table with an orange flame icon indicating initial warmup. They cannot be added to campaigns yet. Check back in about 2 weeks — once the flame is green, campaign sending ramps gradually until the inbox reaches its full 35 emails/day capacity.
You'll know your inboxes are ready when…
Regardless of whether you bought pre-warmed or DFY:
- They appear in the Email Accounts table with Status: Active.
- The flame icon is green (pre-warmed: green from day one; DFY: green after ~2 weeks of initial warmup).
- The health score is 80%+ (pre-warmed usually shows a dash for the first day or two, then jumps to high numbers).
When all three are true, the inbox can be attached to a campaign.
What happens after purchase
Behind the scenes, within a few minutes of payment clearing:
- SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records are configured on the domain automatically — the three DNS records that prove to email providers that your emails are genuine. No DNS knowledge required.
- Warmup traffic starts immediately (pre-warmed inboxes continue their existing warmup; DFY starts fresh).
- Domain forwarding (if you set it) takes effect once DNS propagates — usually within a few hours.
Partial provisioning
Sometimes not every domain in an order provisions on the first attempt. When this happens the Email Accounts page shows a yellow banner:
Provisioning requires attention — X/Y domains provisioned, but your order is taking longer than expected. We'll keep trying, please be patient!
What this means: the platform successfully set up some of your domains but couldn't finish the rest, usually because of a temporary problem with the email infrastructure provider. The domains that did provision are fully usable (they appear in your Email Accounts table with active inboxes).
You may also see a blue "N mailboxes retrying" banner with a cooldown countdown, or a second yellow "N mailboxes could not be retried" banner. The second one means those mailboxes have stopped retrying. Contact support and quote it.
What happens automatically:
- The platform retries about every 30 minutes, for up to 24 hours.
- If all retries succeed, the banner changes to "Provisioning complete!". While mailboxes are still retrying the page checks for updates every 30 seconds on its own; once retries have stopped, reload the page to see the latest status.
- If some domains still can't be provisioned after 24 hours, contact support. The team will review the order and sort out billing for anything that couldn't be delivered. The domains that were successfully provisioned remain active and billed normally.
- If no domains could be provisioned at all, the order is cancelled and automatically refunded. The banner changes to "Order Cancelled". Refunds take a few business days to appear on your statement. Contact support if it hasn't landed by then.
What you should do:
- Wait. The system retries automatically. Reload the page to see the latest status. Many partial-provisioning cases resolve on their own within a few hours.
- Check back later. If the banner still shows "Provisioning requires attention" after 24 hours, contact support with the domain names from your order so the team can investigate. The banner keeps saying "We'll keep trying" even once the retries have stopped, so treat 24 hours as the real cutoff.
- Use what's ready. Domains that provisioned successfully are fully functional. You don't need to wait for the rest before adding them to campaigns (pre-warmed inboxes only, since DFY inboxes still need their 2-week initial warmup first).
Don't dismiss the banner until the order is resolved
The X on the banner hides it permanently. There's no way to bring it back, and it's the only place this order's status is shown.
If something's not right
Provisioning has been stuck for hours
Pre-warmed domains usually finish in minutes. DFY domain registration can take up to 24 hours. If you're still in a pending state after a day, contact support with the domain name.
The inboxes show Error status right after purchase
Common cause: DNS propagation hasn't caught up yet. Wait 30 minutes and refresh. If they're still showing Error, contact support with the email addresses.
I want to add more than 3 inboxes to a domain
Not currently supported. Each domain takes exactly 3. If you need more volume, buy additional domains — it's better for deliverability anyway because you're spreading sending reputation across more domains.
I want a refund
Inbox purchases are not refundable. Domains aren't either, once registered. If you think there's been an error, contact support and explain — they can look at the specific situation.
