How do I duplicate an existing campaign?
Steps to duplicate an existing campaign.
There's a one-click Duplicate Campaign action in the campaigns list. It preserves your sequences, variants, lead filters, and campaign settings — you pick a new name and the duplicate is ready to launch (or edit further) immediately.
How to duplicate
- Open Cold Email Agent (under Marketing).
- Find the campaign you want to duplicate in the list.
- Click the three-dot menu on the right side of that row.
- Click Duplicate Campaign.
- In the modal, enter a new campaign name (minimum 3 characters) — default convention is adding
v2or a date suffix. - Click Duplicate.
The duplicate appears in your campaigns list within a few seconds. It starts in Draft status — the original isn't affected.
What carries over to the duplicate
| Element | Duplicated? |
|---|---|
| Sequences (all steps, subject lines, body copy) | Yes |
| Variants within each step | Yes |
| Lead source settings (filters, method) | Yes |
| Campaign options (type, assigned salesperson, DNC behavior) | Yes |
| Email account selection | Yes |
| Actual leads | No — the duplicate starts with zero leads. Add or scrape leads into the new campaign. |
| Analytics / send history | No — the duplicate has its own stats. |
When to duplicate vs when to create fresh
| Duplicate when… | Create fresh when… |
|---|---|
| Testing copy variants on a new lead batch | The targeting is fundamentally different |
| Running the same offer to a new geographic segment | You're changing the cold email method |
| Rolling forward a winning sequence to the next quarter | The previous sequence had deliverability issues you want to leave behind |
Duplicating a sequence variant within a campaign
Inside the campaign editor, each variant has its own Duplicate variant action (hover the variant, use the small menu). That's different from duplicating the whole campaign — it creates a new variant of the same step for A/B testing.
