COLD EMAIL AGENT · FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS · BILLING DOMAINS

Why was I charged $129 when I have free credits?

Credits pay for leads. Subscription, inbox, domain, and add-on charges are separate from credits.

Credits and subscription charges are different things. That's why you can see lead credits in your balance and still see a separate charge on your statement.

What the credits cover

Your credits buy leads from the AI lead finder. One credit = one lead.

Credits don't cover:

  • Running the Cold Email Agent itself.
  • Sending emails.
  • The inboxes your emails go from.
  • The domains those inboxes live on.

What the charge may be for

Most likely one of:

  • Your workspace subscription — the main plan charge.
  • A plan or feature upgrade — if Cold Email Agent access was added separately to your plan.
  • Inbox/domain billing — if you purchased email accounts or outreach domains through the platform.
  • Extra lead credits — if you bought credits beyond the amount included in your plan.

How to confirm which it is

  1. Check your invoice — the line items should name what each charge is for.
  2. Go to Settings → Billing → Manage Billing to review subscription and payment details.
  3. Check Settings → Billing → Email Accounts & Domains for inbox/domain billing.
  4. If the breakdown is not obvious, contact support with the invoice reference.

The four separate billing layers

Every workspace has potentially four charges, all billing on their own schedules:

LayerWhat it pays forWhere to check
Workspace planYour main subscriptionSettings → Billing → Current Plan
Inboxes/domainsSending infrastructure bought through the platformSettings → Billing → Email Accounts & Domains
Extra creditsCredits beyond what the plan includesSettings → Billing → Credit Balances

Each one can bill separately. Having included lead credits does not mean every inbox, domain, or workspace charge is free.
