How do I change my cold email method from podcast to interview?

Steps to change my cold email method from podcast to interview.

The cold email method is picked at the top of each new script request. The live tabs are Interview, Podcast, AI Audit, Direct, and Masterclass. It's not a workspace-wide setting — every script run is independent, so you switch method by generating a new script with the new choice.

Switch method for a new script

  1. Open ResourcesCold Email Writer.
  2. Start a new script.
  3. In Choose Your Cold Email Method, pick Interview (or whichever tab you want).
  4. Fill in the remaining fields.
  5. Generate. The output reflects the method you picked.

Previously generated scripts don't change — they stay as whatever method they were run with. If you want the previous ones in the new method, re-run them with the new selection.

What the methods differ on

MethodFrame of the outreach
PodcastYou're inviting them to be a guest on your podcast. The ask is a recording slot, not a call.
InterviewYou want to interview them for content, research, or a case study. Closer in tone to a podcast invite but without the "guest on a show" framing.
AI AuditYou offer an AI-powered review as the opening angle.
DirectStraight pitch — what you offer, why it matters for them, the ask.
MasterclassPositioned around teaching or showing what's working. Softer opening than Direct.

If you want to change the method on a live campaign

The Cold Email Writer is a resource tool, not the place campaigns are built. Campaigns in the Cold Email Agent are separate — you'd switch method at the campaign level by either:

  • Editing the sequence copy directly (use the Cold Email Agent's campaign editor to swap in new openers).
  • Building a new campaign with the new method and migrating leads over.

Don't run two methods on the same list

Sending the same leads a Direct and a Podcast angle concurrently confuses recipients and burns deliverability. If you want to test methods, run them on separate lead batches.
