What is a good positive reply rate?
Good positive reply rates depend on the campaign method. Focus on positive replies, not total replies.
A good positive reply rate depends on the campaign method. Podcast campaigns usually sit around 1-2%, Interview around 0.5-1.5%, AI Business Audit around 0.5-1%, and Direct around 0.3-0.8%.
The "really good" line is roughly 2%+ for Podcast, 1.5%+ for Interview, 1%+ for AI Business Audit, and 0.8%+ for Direct.
Why positive replies matter more than total replies
A positive response is a reply the AI has read and classified as genuinely interested — "send me more info", "let's book a call", "I'd like to learn more". Out-of-office auto-responses, unsubscribes, and "not interested" bounces don't count.
Other reply-rate numbers can look flattering but misleading. Positive reply rate is the one that actually predicts revenue.

If yours looks low
Start with the things most campaigns get wrong:
- Offer is too broad. Tight niches reply more than generic "help you grow" pitches.
- Subject line is about you, not them. Subject lines that open a loop or reference something specific to the lead win.
- First email is too long. Under 100 words usually outperforms longer openers.
- Follow-ups stop too early. Many positive replies come from follow-ups, not the first email.
One Direct campaign below 1% is not automatically broken. If you are below 1% across multiple campaigns or campaign types, check deliverability, links in the copy, spammy wording, and sender reputation.
